Emily has a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy and qualified in 2003. Since then she has completed many post graduate courses relating to speech, language and communication including training related to motor speech disorders -Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT) -Brief Therapy (Solution focused therapy) -Training in Social Skills.
Emily has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for 14 years providing 1:1 therapy for both adults and children. In 2014 she underwent a public speaking course with the London College of Public Speaking and met a number of business people who needed help with their voice, accent and general communication skills. She researched this area in more depth and created a unique formula to help and improve people's speech and accents.
'A large part of my training has been the study of phonetics and phonology. I am able to analyse speech sounds in order to help you to produce the accent you wish as well as making use of my training in social skills and solution focused therapy in order to help you build confidence in speaking'
Emily has now gone on to train a number of associate speech and language therapists who have joined the company
Emily belongs to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), The Health Professions Council (HPC) and Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
'Speech and communication is a huge interest for me. I love what I do and will do my best to help you to be able to use your voice the way you wish to as well as help you to feel more confident in the way that you speak. I aim to tailor the session to how you learn and to what interests you.'
